Hi, I’m Amanda.

I’m a photographer, a wife, a momma to six, a foster momma, and a rancher with a heart for capturing the people and moments God places in front of me. My life is full, a little messy, and deeply meaningful — and that is the beauty I love finding through my lens. Whether it’s the connection of a family, the strength of a senior, the grit and beauty of ranch life, or a moment that deserves to be remembered forever, I believe photographs should feel honest, personal, and full of heart.

My faith is the anchor in my life, my family, and the way I serve others through photography. I believe God places people and stories in front of us for a reason, and I want my work to reflect His goodness in every season.

Giving Back

Some stories deserve to be honored with extra care. Offering no-cost sessions for foster children in my home and remembrance photography for families experiencing infant loss is one way I can use this gift to serve others with compassion and love.

My Story

I used to spend every babysitting dollar I earned developing film from disposable cameras. Buying a camera with interchangeable lenses was just a dream. Owning a business with it? I never saw that coming. I'm a ranch wife, foster mama, and homeschooling mom who taught herself photography during nap times and early bedtimes — watching hours of videos, taking notes, and learning to shoot in manual mode and edit in Photoshop. It was my chiropractor who first said "Amanda, you could do this professionally." I shrugged it off. But words have power. When I started taking sessions, I quickly realized how expensive photography had become — and how out of reach it was for large families like mine. I prayed a lot about how to move forward. The answer was simple: keep it affordable, flexible, and personal. Everyone's story is different and deserves to be captured that way. Anchored In Him Images comes from Hebrews 6:19. My faith is my anchor regardless of how trying life becomes. It was important to me that my work pointed not to the one pressing the shutter, but to the One who laid this ministry on my heart. That's why I offer free senior sessions for youth in foster care and no-cost bereavement photography for families experiencing infant loss. Real, raw emotion and action shots are my favorite work. I'm also diving into video — stay tuned.

Anchored In Him Images is more than a business name. It is a reflection of my faith and the foundation behind the way I see life, family, and the stories I am trusted to capture. Through the joyful seasons, the hard seasons, and all of the beautiful ordinary moments in between, God remains steady in my hope is to create photographs that do more than simply show what a moment looked like. I want them to hold the feeling of it — the love, the connection, the strength, and the grace woven into your story.
